FLARIS LAR 1 is very light and durable thanks to the application of state-of-the-art certified pre-impregnated carbon fibers, similar to those in the latest commercial aircraft, e.g. A 350 or Dreamliner. Large elements are machined using numerical control methods (main frames, undercarriage leg, etc.) The genuine fuselage shape, similar to high performance sail planes, provides a comfortable cabin for 4 passengers and a very low drag.
Piloting FLARIS LAR 1 is effortless. This is evident in the minimum number of operations, benign stall and the tendency of the plane to automatically recover from a tailspin. It is designed to be operated by a single pilot (owing to the Garmin G600 radio and navigation system, which functions as the copilot). To fly the FLARIS LAR 1 plane only a private pilot license PPL(A) is required.
Thanks to wings which can be detached in only 5 minutes, FLARIS LAR 1 does not require a hangar. The plane can be stored in a large garage next to the house. It can be transported on a trailer to the nearest runway.
FLARIS LAR 1 can takeoff and land on short 250-meter grass airstrips or small airports. This allows you to avoid large airports and get closer to your destination. FLARIS LAR 1 is an alternative to crowded motorways and time-consuming flights on commercial airlines. This expands the application of the plane to countries with poor infrastructure.
