The first flight tests of a 1:3 scale model of the FLARIS LAR 1 jet were concluded with great success. The tests checked the proper behavior of the plane with maximum rear balance. The Flaris model, built for the initial testing phase, flew at a speed of almost 400 km/h. Flaris took off for the first time on February 13, 2011.
The flight tests of the FLARIS model were attended by the aircraft’s engineers: Andrzej Frydrychewicz, MSc, who is known for famous aircrafts such as PZL-104 Wilga, PZL-106 Kruk and PZL-130 Orlik and by Rafał Ładziński, MSc – the originator director of the Flaris project.
-The successful tests of the prototype confirmed our initial assumptions – summarized the engineers.
